Born on November 2, 1979 in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Bou Phearavath went to Wat Reach Bo School in 1995 and married his wife in 2000. He came from a large family with thirteen members include his parents. Because of the poverty in family, he quitted school when he was in grade 10, however he struggled for life by being a waiter in a restaurant after he left school. Then, he became a cleaner and a chief assistant where he got an opportunity to join cooking class. As he was so talented, he had a chance to join cooking skill competition and was recognized as a best Khmer cuisine chief 1997. He became a kitchen storerooms manager at Raffles Hotel in 1999 and chief manager Antra Cambodia organization in 2005. Currently, he is a chief manager of Stoeng Trorcheak Restaurant, and he has been working there since 2012.
